Bio

Brian Schmidt is a Technical Fellow and Chief Engineer in the Mission Systems Digital Engineering Center.

In this role, Brian supports digital transformation within engineering for his sector along with enterprise wide activities. Brian is currently leading an effort to accelerate the use of Digital Twin capabilities at Northrop Grumman. Previously, Brian spent over 20 years working in the area of modeling and simulation holding the role of Software Engineer, Software Lead, Systems Engineer, Systems Engineering Integration & Test Lead, and Engineering Program Manager.

Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from St. John Fisher College, a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the State University of NY (SUNY) Buffalo, and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from SUNY Buffalo.
