Digital Twin Progression Throughout the Product Lifecycle

 

Bio

Jeffrey Reed is Corporate Director for Engineering and leading the Enterprise-wide Digital Design Portfolio. 

In this role, he is responsible for leading the digital transformation within Engineering through the implementation of enterprise systems, business architecture and new engineering software tools deployed throughout all Sectors.  Jeff and his team support engineering personnel working on programs throughout the Enterprise.  Within the Digital Design portfolio, Jeff’s team is establishing the next generation of digitally connected engineering tools, while ensuring affordable implementation for programs.  Current focus includes the development of a next gen Product Lifecycle Management System.

Previously, Jeff was Director of Engineering for Model Based Tool Development at the Aeronautics Systems Sector supporting programs at all Centers of Excellence (CoE’s). In this role, he was leading all engineering initiatives within NG Integrated Digital Enterprise (NGIDE) where the Team is expanding the Digital Thread throughout the Product Lifecycle.  Jeff also led the Model Based Engineering Community of Practice (CoP).

Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a master’s degree in Business Management from Florida Tech.  Jeff serves as the executive focal for Florida Tech and is a member of their Engineering and Science advisory board.
